Centre for Cultural, Media and Communication Studies
The Centre for Cultural, Media, and Communication Studies (CKMKS) at the Faculty of Arts of Palacký University (FF UP) in Olomouc was established as a platform associating research activities of employees of various departments of FF UP and other workplaces in the Czech Republic and Slovakia who participate in the teaching of Communication studies. The mission of the CKMKS is to cover the joint research activities of employees who institutionally fall under different workplaces but are united by research interests in the field of three closely related disciplines.
The CKMKS focuses on theoretical reflection and analysis of selected topics and phenomena within the scope of these fields.

The research activity of CKMKS is also closely connected with the pedagogical activity of its members and co-workers, who present the results of their research in teaching, or involve students directly.
